DESCRIPTION
ABTS Peroxidase Stop Solution is specifically designed for use
with KPL’s ABTS Microwell Peroxidase Substrate （See
RELATED PRODUCTS） to stop color development in ELISA
plates.

2 x 100 mL ABTS Peroxidase Stop Solution - Catalog No.
50-85-02
USE
PREPARATION: Dilute one part ABTS Peroxidase Stop
Solution with four parts reagent quality water （i.e. 1 mL ABTS
Stop Solution + 4 mL water） to produce a 1% solution..
VOLUME: The ABTS Stop Solution should be added to each
well in the same volume as the ABTS Substrate （usually 100
μL）. Add appropriate volume to each well to stop reaction.
Read at a wavelength between 405 - 410 nm.
WHEN TO STOP ABTS SUBSTRATE REACTION: The point
at which the substrate reaction is stopped is best determined
by the ELISA reader being used. Many ELISA readers record
absorbance up to 2.0 OD The OD values of the plate should
be monitored and the substrate stopped before positive wells
are no longer recordable.
NOTE: The addition of the Peroxidase Stop Solution does not
change the blue-green color of the ABTS substrate and will not
significantly change the absorbance values recorded prior to
stopping the substrate reaction. This allows the user to
monitor the reaction and stop it at a desired absorbance value.
