RNA是以DNA的一條鏈為模板，以堿基互補(bǔ)配對(duì)原則，轉(zhuǎn)錄而形成
的一條單鏈，主要功能是實(shí)現(xiàn)遺傳信息在蛋白質(zhì)上的表達(dá)，是遺
傳信息向表型轉(zhuǎn)化過程中的橋梁。在此過程中，轉(zhuǎn)運(yùn)RNA
(Transfer RNA,tRNA)是攜帶與三聯(lián)體密碼子對(duì)應(yīng)的氨基酸殘基
與正在進(jìn)行翻譯的mRNA結(jié)合，而后核糖體RNA(Ribosomal
RNA,rRNA)將各個(gè)氨基酸殘基通過肽鍵連接成肽鏈進(jìn)而構(gòu)成蛋白
質(zhì)分子。RNA由核糖核苷酸經(jīng)磷酯鍵縮合而成長鏈狀分子。一個(gè)核
糖核苷酸分子由磷酸，核糖和堿基構(gòu)成。RNA的堿基主要有4種，
即A腺嘌呤 ，G鳥嘌呤 ，C胞嘧啶 ，U尿嘧啶 。其中，U尿嘧
啶取代了DNA中的T胸腺嘧啶而成為RNA的特征堿基。mRNA1958年
，克里克提出RNA是遺傳信息的中間載體這一假設(shè)。提出該假設(shè)的
部分依據(jù)是：DNA位于真核細(xì)胞的細(xì)胞核，而蛋白質(zhì)分子是在細(xì)胞

種假設(shè)，認(rèn)為是非特異性的核糖體翻譯一種叫做信使的不穩(wěn)定的
RNA。信使是獨(dú)立的RNA分子，可將遺傳信息從基因傳遞至核糖體
