I. The Smoke Tragedy of Laser Cutting Acrylic, Rubber Sheets, and PET When the laser beam acts on acrylic, the instantaneous high temperature causes the molecular chains of acrylic to break and decompose, generating a large amount of thick white smoke, which contains incompletely burned organic particles, formaldehyde, acetone and other volatile organic compounds. When laser cutting rubber sheets, the sulfides, plasticizers and other components in the rubber volatilize due to heat, forming black smoke mixed with a pungent rubber smell, which fills the entire space and adheres to the equipment and workpieces, making it difficult to clean. The cutting of PET material is no different. Gases such as acetaldehyde and benzoic acid produced by melting and evaporation are mixed in the smoke, making the air murky and full of danger. Ii. The "Magic Power" of Laser Smoke Purifiers
(1) Precise Adsorption, Locking in the Source of Odors The specially designed gas filter layer built into the laser smoke purifier can be called the "odor Nemesis". The specially developed gas filters in our own factory are 20% to 50% more efficient than traditional activated carbon. With their catalytic oxidation, high adsorption capacity and astonishing specific surface area, each gram of activated carbon has an adsorption area of hundreds of square meters. When the smoke containing odorous gases such as formaldehyde produced by the decomposition of acrylic, sulfides volatilized by rubber, and acetaldehyde emitted by PET enters the purifier, these gas molecules are rapidly oxidized, decomposed, adsorbed and filtered, firmly locked in the tiny pores, eliminating the pungent smell from the root and restoring the air to freshness.
(2) High-efficiency filtration, intercepting fine particles. The primary filter screen takes the lead in blocking large particles and debris in the smoke, such as larger plastic residues from acrylic cutting and coarse powder particles from rubber sheets, preventing them from clogging subsequent filter layers. The HEPA high-efficiency filter has come into its own, with a filtration efficiency of over 99.97% for ultra-fine particles larger than 0.3 microns. Even the fine fibers produced by PET cutting and the tiny organic particles decomposed by acrylic are all captured in one net, with multiple layers of screening to ensure that the discharged air is clean and flawless.
(3) Powerful suction and exhaust, quickly capture the smoke source. The high-power fan equipped at the source is like an "air vacuum cleaner", instantly generating a strong negative pressure and forming a powerful suction field around the laser cutting point. Once the smoke is generated, it is quickly sucked into the interior of the purifier and speeds along the air duct, leaving no chance for the smoke to spread and escape. This achieves close-range and highly efficient smoke capture, keeping the working area always fresh and clean.
