Description
Many complex sample mixtures cannot be accuray analyzed by EIA without prior purification. Octadecyl silica （ODS） cartridges represent a rigorous but relatively simple purification method for cleanup of these samples. The cartridges can be eluted in the reverse-phase format using very polar solvents such as methanol, acetonitrile, and water. They can also be eluted in normal phase conditions using non-polar solvents like hexane and ethyl acetate. Using both these methods in sequence, the entire eicosanoid family from HETEs to cysteinyl-leukotrienes can be separated for later analysis.
